1 Month Anniversary

Last week I celebrated 2 years since my hysterectomy with BSO and today I celebrate 1 month since my double mastectomy.  I have to say…this has been a pretty great journey so far for me.  Not much pain and no major complications!

For years and even leading up to days before the surgery I thought pretty negatively about this surgery.  Partially because I can be a bit of a pessimist and partially because I’ve seen and heard some pretty crazy stories of complications and pain.  I know we’re all different, tolerate pain in our own way, and have had different doctors but for some reason I had it in my head that I too would be among those women that had a difficult surgery.
